Pyengana Valley is prestigious dairy farming land, located in Tasmania’s North-East, producing traditional cloth-bound cheddar for over 130 years. Heritage vats dating back to over 100 years old are still used to this day, honouring our cheese making method over four generations.

From humble beginnings, Pyengana Dairy’s cloth-bound cheddar has now become the darling of Australia’s cheddar competitions, being awarded 2018 Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s Best Consumer Pack Cheddar, Best Producer five years running by Delicious Magazine, Champion Dairy 2017 at Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards and Best in Class at Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria’s Food Awards.

Your single origin milk source

Pyengana Dairy also produces Real Milk, a non-homogenised milk where the rich, natural creaminess is retained, and the cream will float to the top. We source milk from a single herd of cows who actually milk themselves through robotic technology, all within 100 metres of the factory.
